Hello Tiina, thanks for your great insight in the workshop.

I am about to launch an online store where I will sell homemade home decor.
The name of my brand “NANM” means soul/spirit in French Creole, hence the “handmade” products that I want to sell. My promise as an interior designer is to curate a soulful home for my clients.
I thought it would be a nice idea to start building momentum on social media and gain authority as well, as it might take some time for me to get my 1st projects.
How do you think I should communicate online?
At the moment all my efforts/focus are on the online store, but there will be a a page on my site dedicated to my interior design services. I think it could be a good way to bring my 1st clients.
Do you think it is a good strategy?

    Regards,

    Marine.

hi, thanks for your questions! How exciting to launch a business 🙂 I think it’s a great strategy to combine your services and products in one place. Just be mindful of your focus particularly when you are getting started, since both business models require their own strategies to take off. I’d start generating leads ASAP like I covered in the training, so you will have your own list of future buyers. I’d also talk about how you use your products in your projects, and take a lot of pictures. E-commerce requires digital advertising (or a huge organic audience, which in turn takes a lot of time and money to build) So, make sure you learn how to run ads, particularly on Facebook & Instagram.

    Good luck!
    Tiina
